Sara Smolik Sara Smolik represents employees in claims arising under state and federal anti-discrimination laws, wage and hour laws, the Massachusetts Whistleblower statutes, and common law. Sara has represented clients in state and federal court as well as before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. She has extensive experience with private mediation. She has a particular interest in whistleblower claims, arising in both public and private employment contexts. Sara has been a lecturer for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education on the topic of Wrongful Termination and Exceptions to Employment at Will. She is a frequent participant in the Boston Bar Association’s brown bag luncheon panels on current topics in employment law. Through her work as a member of the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association, Sara has helped draft many amicus briefs advocating for the rights of employees in Massachusetts. As a law student, Sara led a student organization that brought suit in federal court to challenge the Solomon Amendment, a federal statute that permitted the U.S. government to condition university funding on law schools’ assent to permitting the U.S. Military to recruit students on law school campuses, in violation of the schools’ non-discrimination policies.
